And yet it achieves outstanding feats! It ensures the biodiversity in nature, as it pollinates the vast majority of wild and cultivated plants. With honey, beeswax and royal jelly, the bee also provides valuable natural products. Every year, two billion euros is the estimated pollination performance of bees in Germany. A single honey bee can pollinate up to 4,400 flowers per day; Anthophora bees pollinate twice as many with 8,800 flowers. Plant Chionodoxa, Galanthus, Crocus, Corydalis, Eranthis, wild tulips, Scilla, etc. and thus make an important contribution to the food security of the bees when they start their first flights after hibernation and hardly find other sources of food.
