Game Mix WSM 1 WSM 1 in its first year Game Mix WSM 1 For years, our Game Mix WSM 1, has been the mixture of choice of practical hunters who want to get started early in the year. It is an excellent choice for food plots, but also for turning fallow land, flowering strips and field margins into attractive are- as for all kinds of wildlife. In its first year, it will reach heights of up to 0,75 m and the wild rye will have reached heights of up to 1,75 m by the second year. Buckwheat, collard greens, red and white clover, rape and turnips will provide first-degree feed. Grasses and clover will dominate the food plot after two years. Cock's foot and Ti- mothy grass will provide cover to a height of 1,25 m. When WSM 1 is sown in May, the ground will be covered by plants after just 30-40 days, suppressing weeds. After 40-60 days (June-July), the mix will have gained a height of around 75 cm, providing ex- cellent cover for small game species. The plot will provide shelter to the second and third litters of hare, as well as the late and second clutches of eggs of pheasants and partridges. For these species, cover is vital for avoiding predators, such as foxes and raptors. While the young animals are safe from the sharp eyes of airborne predators, there is ample space for movement among the stalks of the plants. Oil radish is distributed mosaic-like, for- ming a framework which other plants may use to climb towards light, creating sunny safe areas for young game animals. These sunny refuges are vital, as they prevent too much moisture from accumulating on your food plot, since this would lead to the cooling, weakening and possibly perishing of young hare and young game birds. In these sunny areas, clover, grasses and wild rye will dominate by late summer and autumn, attracting large game. The plants on your food plot will continue to grow un- til October. Each species of plant fulfills its Game Mix WSM 1® new analysis Analysis by professional hunter Thomas Berner Item No.: 690080 white mustard, oil radish, scorpionweed, buckwheat, winter turnip, feed rape, collard greens, wild rye, red clover, white clover, cock's-foot,timothy grass / now with new components, such as borage, fennel and parsnip Time of sowing End of April until June Amount for sowing 35 kg/ha Seedbed depth 2 cm Time until germination 7-14 days Height up to 1,75 m Lifetime 2-3 years Mix for large and small game species Grey partridge on WSM 1 6 www.nebelung.de
